Your Impact:

This role will play a vital part in delivering specialized consultation services aimed at reducing patient length of stay and enhancing healing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Practice Consultant - WOC will lead, guide, and enhance the implementation of a comprehensive Wound, Ostomy & Continence program for clients. This position will ensure the provision of high-quality client care through clinical consultation, education, and guidance based on a specialized knowledge base to interdisciplinary team members. Collaboration with other NSWOC professionals, researching and evaluating current standards in wound, ostomy, and continence care, and facilitating the development and execution of program policies, educational initiatives for staff, and quality improvement projects will be essential components of this role, all while incorporating evidence-based best practices.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current registration from the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Successful completion of the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Institute's specialized education program, along with three years of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid motor vehicle license is also required.
