Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff
The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members who prepare and portion food. This will include training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as ensuring that they are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Estimate Ingredients and SuppliesThe successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
Quality ControlThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Financial ManagementThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing budget and cost estimates, as well as monitoring and controlling expenses to ensure that we are operating within budget.
Customer ServiceThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we provide excellent customer service at all times.
Reporting and AdministrationThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting reports, as well as maintaining accurate records and files.
Work SchedulesThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for establishing work schedules, ensuring that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities and that we are operating within our budget.
Requirements- Education
A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
ExperienceAt least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role is required.
Work EnvironmentThe successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to odours and hot temperatures.
Work SettingThe Food Service Supervisor will be required to work in a restaurant setting, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
Physical DemandsThe successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular walking and standing required.
Personal SuitabilityThe Food Service Supervisor will be required to possess excellent oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
