CB Canada is seeking Three (3) POSSE Application Support Analysts for a significant engagement.
Job Overview:
Our esteemed client requires Three (3) POSSE Application Support Analysts to design and develop web-based applications that facilitate the monitoring of Industrial Waste Disposal and Landfill weather conditions utilized by the Waste & Recycling Services (WR&S) division. The current applications are constructed on an outdated Silverlight/ArcGIS framework. This initiative will assess the functionality of the existing applications, identify their limitations, and outline the design and development of a new application that aligns with the present and future requirements of the WR&S division using contemporary technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical assistance for the POSSE platform and associated applications.
- Conduct research, analysis, evaluation, testing, and provide recommendations for enhancing the POSSE technology platform.
- Act as a data business analyst for new or undocumented business processes to ensure compatibility with data structures.
- Offer specialized support to investigate and resolve user, interface, and system issues, including problem identification, documentation, and analysis.
- Create and implement comprehensive test plans for all newly developed custom code, coordinating testing activities and supporting user acceptance testing during major software updates.
- Ensure quality assurance, error management, and data collection during system analysis, data processing, and data conversion.
- Maintain and support critical systems to ensure high availability.
- Develop and update application support documentation.
- Follow change control policies and procedures when planning and implementing changes.
- Promote continuous improvement by suggesting modifications to IS procedures, standards, and processes where enhancements have been identified.
Essential Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of development experience with Computronix Public One Stop Service Experience software (POSSE) 7.x.
- Seven (7) years of experience in developing and executing data migration, conversion, and cleanup processes/scripts for large databases.
- Seven (7) years of experience with POSSE Architecture and Design.
- Five (5) years of experience in POSSE System Integration (e.g., ESRI/geospatial, EDMS, payment providers, SAP, etc.).
- Five (5) years of experience in POSSE reporting (e.g., XtraReports, Ad Hoc Reporting Module, and Corral).
- Five (5) years of experience with POSSE integrated tools and utilities (e.g., OLE Converter, XtraReports Converter, and ADIEU).
- Ten (10) years of experience with Oracle 11g+ and PL/SQL.
- Ten (10) years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, VS 2005/2010.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with integration into a Data Warehouse Repository.
- Prior experience with municipal or large government organizations.
- Familiarity with enterprise workflow and systems.
- In-depth understanding of POSSE-specific performance tuning.
- Expertise in POSSE StaffUI/Winchester configuration.
- Hands-on experience with projects or providing application support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients.
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, demonstrating innovation, initiative, a customer service focus, positive representation, and the ability to meet commitments.
