About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Professional to join our team at Little Munchkin Daycare. As an Infant Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants and toddlers.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Lead activities that promote creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of media.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Child development worker (ECE level 2) certification.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records.
  • Experience an asset.
