This position offers evening shifts with a commitment of 40 hours per week, along with opportunities for career advancement within our esteemed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and interpret a printed list detailing item locations and required quantities.
  • Utilize a pallet jack (training provided) to efficiently navigate to designated areas, selecting items and stacking them on a skid with precision.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient packing of skids, meeting productivity expectations.
  • Transport completed skids to the delivery area for wrapping and dispatch to retail locations.
  • Work in various temperature-controlled environments, including refrigerated and frozen sections, necessitating appropriate attire.
  • Be prepared for mandatory overtime, which may include up to 2 hours per day or 4 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations or order picking is essential, along with strong English language skills for effective communication.
  • Availability to work Sundays, Fridays, and preferably Tuesdays, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
  • Physical fitness is crucial, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly and maintain mobility for extended periods.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check is required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, speed, and punctuality.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary, as public transit may not be available for all shifts.
  • Must possess CSA-approved steel toe safety boots (above ankle).
  • Willingness to learn and operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $19.00.
  • Evening shifts commencing at 4 PM until 12:30 AM, with a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Work hours ranging from 24 to 40 per week, with potential for overtime (up to 2 hours per shift).
  • Upon reaching 650 hours of service, there is potential for permanent employment and advancement within the company.
  • Training provided for forklift operation (Raymond long handle) and Electronic Pallet Jack.
