Job Summary

Providence Health Care (PHC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Long-Term Care team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe and respectful nursing care to an assigned group of residents. This will include:

  • Participating in creating a healthy and happy aging environment
  • Caring for residents who are stable in relation to their day-to-day clinical and psychosocial baseline
  • Supporting residents through medication administration, completing RAI-MDS assessments, and carrying out nursing assessments
  • Collaborating and communicating with RNs about any assessment findings that may indicate a change from resident's baseline
  • Being approachable and an effective communicator, hearing concerns from Resident Care Aides
  • Being a valued member of the interdisciplinary care team and supporting/partnering with the RN/RPN in the care of residents with complex or unpredictable outcomes

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
  • Registration and good standing with BCCNM
  • Current CPR
  • A desire to make a difference in the lives of seniors in British Columbia
