Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in the assessment, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of information management and technology solutions within Nova Scotia Health Authority. This position involves collaboration with key clinical and business stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for:
- Evaluating and enhancing complex, cross-functional business application solutions.
- Coordinating transport management and release planning.
- Providing ongoing support and functional enhancements to ensure optimal performance of information systems.
- Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements effectively.
- Conducting system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Maintaining effective IT systems and processes to support the delivery of information.
- Building and sustaining relationships between clinical and business stakeholders to identify suitable IT solutions.
- Interpreting business needs and proposing effective application solutions.
- Applying data modeling techniques to ensure successful integration and performance.
- Collaborating with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Performing data analyses across various formats and platforms.
Qualifications:
We welcome candidates who possess:
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology, business analysis, or a health-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in application programming, systems analysis, or systems support.
- Experience with SAP Time & Payroll modules, SuccessFactors, UKG, or Kronos is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in SAP, SuccessFactors, or UKG.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems and terminology.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
