Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Finance Functional Analyst to join our team at CP. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sustainment and project activities to deliver CP's financial systems primarily in the area of SAP Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of CP's financial systems and processes to ensure effective support and project delivery.
  • Design, implement, and optimize balanced solutions or improvements through SAP configurations and development activities based on best business practices in alignment with CP's IS architectural standards.
  • Support the development of test strategies and test plans, ensuring traceability of requirements back to business needs and verifying solutions conform to specifications.
  • Maintain and grow good working relationships with CP's finance teams.
  • Coordinate with diverse groups to conduct blueprinting, requirement analysis, impact assessment, product demonstration, and training workshops.
  • Work closely with other IS technical, PMO, architecture, and business teams to ensure the successful completion of projects and operational activities, driving a spirit of collaboration and partnership.
  • Facilitate the capture and documentation of non-functional requirements that are critical to the user community, encouraging collaboration and effective communication among teams.
  • Participate in the On-Call support rotation for the SAP production environment.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge in systems/applications development and support, business systems analysis, systems project management, with familiarity in implementing and supporting SAP Enterprise systems, specifically the FI module.
  • Experience with SAP FI configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify potential solutions, effectively connect with business clients, and ensure successful implementation of system changes.
  • Knowledge of SAP product module/suite business processes, navigation mechanics, configuration requirements, and integration with other modules and SAP's Business Intelligence.
  • Ability to develop and maintain configuration and functional design documents and support role-based profile changes.
  • Perform all tasks in the development cycle, including business process definition, configuration and unit testing, user testing assistance and follow-up, coordination of transports to Production, training, post-live support, and fixes.
