The Director of Authentication Operations is responsible for overseeing the business functions of our centralized authentication system and its related applications.

Authentication is a critical component of every client interaction at CIBC, whether it occurs through digital self-service or via our representatives in contact and banking centers.

Ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement is vital to our strategy of realizing clients' aspirations.

In this capacity, you will lead a team committed to ensuring that every authentication process is designed for clarity, operational simplicity, and effectiveness in fraud risk mitigation.

This role offers the flexibility to manage your work schedule within a hybrid model, allowing for 1-3 days of on-site work each week, complemented by remote work on other days.

Act as a strategic partner by offering insights and recommendations on ongoing projects where authentication plays a pivotal role in the user experience.

Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Presentation & Analysis: Develop presentations that succinctly summarize findings and recommendations for senior leadership.

Foster a culture characterized by transparency, trust, and inclusivity.

Reporting: Establish and oversee strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate benefits and ensure that authentication performance remains within established parameters.

Business Management: Assist in business management responsibilities, including data governance, access oversight, and vendor coordination.
Candidates should possess knowledge and experience in fraud management and best practices for client authentication.
Strong creative problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying innovative solutions.
You may be required to complete an attribute-based assessment and additional skills evaluations.
Key competencies include Analytical Thinking, Information Management, Information Security, Leadership, Long-Term Planning, People Management, Security Risk, and Security Training.
