Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our development team at CB Canada. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications using Java, SpringBoot, and Spark
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and develop software solutions
  • Optimize and performance-tune software applications for low latency and large data sets
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Java development
  • 5+ years of experience with SpringBoot
  • 2+ years of experience with microservices
  • 2+ years of experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ
  • 2+ years of experience with Gradle
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Spark 2.0 and HBase
  • Experience with Azure cloud
  • Previous experience in the Banking or Financial Industry
  • Experience with Capital Markets

Work Environment:

CB Canada is a hybrid work environment, offering a balance of remote and in-office work.
