Senior Solutions Architect

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Canadian Tire Financial Services, you will play a key role in designing and leading the technical delivery of integrated technology solutions. Reporting to the Principal Architect, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our technology solutions meet the highest standards of quality, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead the technical delivery of integrated technology solutions
  • Provide technical solution leadership for capabilities under the HR and Corporate portfolios
  • Act as a trusted advisor on data movement and integration best practices, solution security, infrastructure, networking, and resiliency
  • Lead architecture for projects of various types, including SAAS selection and implementation, migration of legacy solutions from on-prem to the cloud, or build of custom solutions in Azure
  • Manage architectural risk mitigation and remediation
  • Provide detailed delivery on enterprise architecture designs for offshore development or external vendors
  • Publish and present design findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Establish and maintain solution architecture standards, providing direction to project teams and vendors to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with delivery, platform security, and risk/compliance areas to review and evaluate designs
  • Create technical process models/flows to visualize solution architecture
  • Complete the solution implementation plan for all internal and external service providers delivering solutions for the project
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Computer Science or related fields
  • Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills with the understanding of design patterns for n-tier and service-oriented architectures, including web services
  • Knowledge in principles of software architecture, techniques, and UML notation
  • Knowledge and experience regarding the practical application of security/risk concepts, standards, and regulations
  • Experience designing and delivering web-based solutions integrating to legacy back-end environments
  • Experience designing/implementing HCM software like Workday, PeopleSoft, Dayforce, etc.
