Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at JP Recruiting Agency. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities to develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clients' capabilities and expectations related to life activities through observation, interviews, and formal assessments.
  • Develop intervention programs to address clients' needs related to self-care, work, and leisure activities.
  • Maintain clients' records and establish personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Consult and advise on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and to maximize independent function in all activities of life.
  • May supervise support personnel and students and provide training.

Requirements:

  • Certification by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
  • High on discipline, punctuality, courtesy, and ethics, with a strong moral compass and compassion.
