Position Overview:
We are seeking an Operational Technology Systems Analyst for a contract opportunity within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in industrial operations and demonstrate proficiency in collaborating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with security protocols and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
OT Cybersecurity Expertise:
- Formulate technical Cyber Risk Mitigation Strategies for Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology networks.
- Assess cybersecurity risks associated with supply chain vendors and engage in contract negotiations to minimize exposure.
- Oversee and respond to alerts generated by OT monitoring systems and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Conduct OT Vulnerability assessments and monitoring based on identified risks.
- Analyze threat intelligence relevant to the OT landscape.
- Revise and create OT incident response protocols.
- Enhance logging and visibility to address gaps within OT networks, in line with compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the cybersecurity roadmap aimed at achieving and sustaining maturity objectives.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance initiatives for NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards.
OT Network Management Skills:
- Design, support, and maintain industrial networks and security systems across various operations, adhering to industry best practices.
- Perform network monitoring and device upkeep.
- Specify and review firewall rules.
- Create network diagrams and manage authentication processes as per change management protocols.
- Establish and uphold industrial network security standards and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in the design, support, and maintenance of industrial control systems, including HMIs and communication networks.
- Familiarity with key network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as networking technologies.
- Advanced understanding of Operational Technology, SCADA, and ICS Cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of control systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with Windows administration and virtualization.
- Strong grasp of codes and standards related to controls and industrial network design.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as NIST and NERC CIP.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
- A degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is preferred, though other educational backgrounds may be considered based on experience.
- Additional training or certifications in network and security fields would be advantageous.
