Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
  • Assist in instructing apprentices.
  • Help install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Work Environment

As an Apprentice Roofer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy conditions, and outdoors. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Team player with excellent hand-eye coordination.
