We are seeking a highly skilled Fraud Analytics Manager to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Fraud Management Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our fraud mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to Fraud Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement advanced analytics techniques to enhance fraud mitigation capabilities.
- Lead Fraud Analytics Initiatives: Develop and execute fraud strategies for customer onboarding and product applications, leveraging data mining tools (SAS, Python, R) to minimize fraud losses.
- Monitor and Report Performance: Regularly report on the performance of existing fraud strategies, identifying areas for improvement and escalating fraud risks that exceed our risk appetite.
- Partner with Fraud Operations: Drive strong partnerships with Fraud Operations to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment with risk/return objectives.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Participate in discussions with IT partners and vendors on requirements and solution design, ensuring our fraud prevention capabilities remain at the forefront of industry trends.
- Education: University degree in statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
- Experience: 3-5 years of analytical experience, preferably in fraud analytics or risk management, with strong coding and data manipulation skills (SAS, R, Python).
- Skills: Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management, and relationship building skills, with excellent communication skills and a self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented approach.
