Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician at Maple Leaf Foods

Job Overview:

  • Oversee compliance with food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Quality Assurance protocols on the production floor.
  • Implement immediate corrective measures and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Encourage proactive engagement in a dynamic food production setting.
  • Make informed quality and food safety decisions following established guidelines.
  • Assist in enhancing and sustaining the facility's Quality Assurance practices.
  • Engage in sensory assessments, data evaluation, and collaborative project discussions.
  • Perform product evaluations and drive improvements in the Quality Assurance system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a technical capacity within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and mentoring others.
