About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Neighbourhood Pet Clinic. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Medical Conditions: Conduct thorough physical examinations and laboratory tests to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks.
  • Prescribe Medication and Treatments: Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
  • Provide Preventative Care: Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, and advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
  • Perform Routine and Emergency Exams: Conduct routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Supervise Veterinary Support Staff: Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
