We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel, Commercial Contracts to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in shaping the bank's commercial contracts strategy and providing expert advice to our clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Counsel, Commercial Contracts, you will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts with clients and partners
  • Providing expert advice on commercial law and corporate finance
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the bank's products and activities
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement new products and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Law or Master of Law degree
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial law and corporate finance
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Membership in the Law Society of Ontario (or equivalent in other provinces)
