Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Director to join our team at Ottawa Festival Network. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to promote our programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan to engage our target audience and promote our brand.
  • Write and edit all communications materials, including press releases, social media posts, and marketing copy.
  • Manage our website and ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze our online presence and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Manage our social media presence and create engaging content.
  • Develop and maintain our brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all communications channels.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in communications and marketing, preferably in a non-profit or arts organization.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in communications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
