We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team at KWC Fabricated Products Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial sewing machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis.
- Quality Control: Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality of products.
- Material Handling: Set in sleeves, pockets, collars, and other garment pieces using sewing guides and tension devices.
- Material Knowledge: Work with various types of materials, including canvas, cotton or synthetic, knits, and leather.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate industrial sewing machines, leather stitching machines, piping or binding machines, sergers or overlocks, and single needle machines.
- Sewing Experience: Possess commercial sewing experience and a strong understanding of sewing techniques.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced production environment, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent employment opportunity.
- English language proficiency.
