Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the trailer, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Perform Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure the vehicle can continue to operate safely.
  • Record Cargo Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate records and compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
