POSITION TITLE: Speech-Language Pathologist – Temporary, Full-Time

INITIAL ASSIGNMENT: In-Home Services

LOCATION: Sudbury

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Speech-Language Pathologist is tasked with delivering comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients receiving Home and Community Care. The primary goal is to enhance communication abilities and address swallowing difficulties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide expert assessment and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Extensive knowledge of community resources and treatment options available.
  • Proven experience in a healthcare or community setting.
  • Strong understanding of assistive technologies and speech-language assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel requirements.
  • Emergency First Aid Certification is required.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is essential.

Less qualified candidates may be considered, but priority will be given to those who meet all specified requirements.
