Job Title: Grocery Clerk Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Clerk Supervisor to join our team at BB INTL. AFRICAN FOODS INC.

Job Summary:

The Grocery Clerk Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient sales processes
  • Assign sales workers to duties and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Hire and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Manage cash and authorize payments by cheque
  • Establish work schedules and ensure staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock is always available
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Manage cash and authorize payments by cheque
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Work Environment:

The Grocery Clerk Supervisor will work in a retail business environment with a team of sales workers and other staff members. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The Grocery Clerk Supervisor will work 35 hours per week.
