Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a college or CEGEP diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Design and implement educational programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children.
  • Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, and excursions to local attractions.
  • Encourage creativity through various forms of art, music, and physical play.
  • Assist children in developing essential life skills such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare nutritious snacks and organize spaces for meals and rest.
  • Monitor children's development and identify any potential learning or behavioral issues, reporting findings to parents and supervisors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to support children's needs.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes children's health and well-being.
Required Certifications
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
Target Audience

Focus on children, including those with special needs such as behavioral issues or allergies.

Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and engage in physically demanding activities.
