Job Title: Production Labourer

Join Island Farmhouse Poultry as a Production Labourer and contribute to the success of our meat processing and packing plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate quantities.
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, maintaining a fast-paced environment.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, meeting quality standards.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, collaborating with process control and machine operators.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Measure or weigh products, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Cut poultry into parts, adhering to established procedures.
Requirements:
  • Repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, and standing for extended periods are essential for this role.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
