Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time teaching stream appointment in the area of AI and Robotics at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in AI and Robotics, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and student assessment.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program in AI and Robotics, including supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects.
- Contribute to departmental administration, including course coordination and teaching assistant supervision.
- Engage with students, colleagues, and the broader community through outreach and service activities.
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field by the time of the appointment, or shortly thereafter.
- Strong teaching and research record in AI and Robotics, with a demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students at the undergraduate level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and the broader community.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
