Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at The Walter Fedy Partnership. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing electrical systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply knowledge and skills in the electrical engineering discipline to perform assignments of limited scope and complexity with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with and complete calculations for electrical service load, lighting design, and distribution systems, including indoor and outdoor lighting design with fixture, lamp, and ballast selection, and lighting calculations to IES standards.
  • Layout lighting fixtures and fire alarm devices on plans, demonstrating fundamental knowledge of lighting concepts.
  • Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems, obtain and analyze data, and prepare designs, while solving routine issues by applying standard procedures and following detailed instructions.
  • Make recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors and suppliers, while communicating with representatives of suppliers or contractors and coordinating electrical and telecom service supply requirements with utility companies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, applied sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of engineering experience in a consulting environment.
  • Registered or pursuing registration with the P.E.O.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and methods, along with familiarity with architectural principles.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., Revit, CAD software).
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under regular supervision and follow established procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
