Geological Operations Manager

Job Summary:
ML6 is seeking a highly experienced Chief Geologist to lead our Geology Department at our mine site in Northern Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all geological work, ensuring it is conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production geologists and oversee day-to-day activities and processes, including definition drilling, planning, tracking, core logging, and interpretation.
- Lead and assist in planning and executing mapping, sampling, and grade control practices.
- Manage grade control, geology database management, structural mapping, interpretation, and 3D modeling.
- Provide support in estimating mineral resources for operations at the mine.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial acts, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Supervise senior geologists to optimize drill hole and grade control programs and ensure they are on budget.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Geology or tertiary education in Geology with 15+ years' experience.
- Proficiency in Datamine, Deswik, and other modeling and geostatistical software.
- Ability to analyze and perform reconciliation between short and long-term models.
- Progressive underground experience as a production and/or grade control geologist.
