As a regular, full-time instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs in refrigeration mechanics, HVAC, and related fields.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for entry-level and apprenticeship students in refrigeration mechanics, HVAC, and related fields.
  • Design and implement curriculum to meet industry standards and BCIT's academic requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in refrigeration and HVAC technologies.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' recent work experience as a journeyperson in refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics.
  • Previous supervisory experience with the ability to teach the curriculum.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High standard of technical excellence, experience with electronic control systems preferred.
  • Innovative approach with a proven track record in the industry.
  • Enjoy teamwork in a dynamic and exciting environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
