Job Title: Baker

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking goods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake goods, including bread, pastries, and other baked products
  • Restock pastry shelves and maintain a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods
  • Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation, including consideration of special dietary constraints
  • Operate oven, egg cooker, and other equipment as needed
  • Prepare toppings, ingredients, and required products for all baked goods and food items
  • Comply with food hygiene regulations and complete Tim Horton training modules
  • Clean, wash, and sanitize equipment and work areas
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support a positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Available to work early morning starting shifts (e.g., 5 am start)
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced food service establishment, preferably in a Tim Horton's or similar environment
  • Able to communicate well in written and verbal English
  • Experience as a baker or other food preparation environment
  • Experience as a cashier and cash handling
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in cold environments (e.g., fridge, freezer)
  • FoodSafe Level I certification, with SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification an asset
