Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Services Coordinator to join our team at Homes First Society. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing programs, outings, and recreational activities that enhance the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients in gathering feedback on desired programs and activities
  • Design and oversee the implementation and evaluation of programs and activities
  • Support the peer worker program in achieving their program goals
  • Maintain accurate client records and complete reports as required
  • Oversee budgets and resources to operate client programming
  • Support partnerships operating programming onsite
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance on a regular basis
  • Keep data and statistics on programs, events, and outings
  • Record attendance and involvement at activities and events
  • Create communication strategies to inform clients and staff about programs
  • Work closely with the Client Programming Supervisor and Client Services Department to coordinate events and obtain resources
  • Intervene in crises, de-escalate conflicts, and respond to client emergencies
  • Ensure adherence to Homes First Policy and Procedures, including Harm Reduction Policies
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent in education and experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working with people who are homeless, in social/supportive housing, under-housed, and/or dealing with addictions and mental health
  • Demonstrated experience performing case management functions and ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to complete reports and administrative forms
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, standards, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of resources and services available in the community
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organization skills
  • Certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention, and Intervention an asset
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to access and use a variety of information system tools
  • Able to lift boxes up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours occasionally
