Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Parachute Systems Maintenance Specialist encompasses a wide range of critical tasks aimed at ensuring the safety and efficiency of airborne operations. Your primary duties will include:

  • Expertly packing and maintaining a comprehensive selection of parachute systems, including extraction systems and various cargo parachutes.

Your responsibilities will vary daily, from preparing detailed reports on parachute data and incidents to performing serviceability checks and repairs on both personnel and aerial delivery equipment. The role also includes the exhilarating opportunity to participate in parachute jumps as part of your qualification process.

Career Path

Upon successful completion of all necessary training, you will be assigned to your first military base. While there may be some flexibility regarding postings, relocations are a common aspect of this career.
