About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Baywood Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and ensure they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials to the highest standard, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide personalized advice to promote good oral health.
  • Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant to prevent decay and strengthen teeth.
  • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays to aid in the creation of accurate dental impressions.
  • Take and develop X-rays to assist in the diagnosis of dental issues.
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Polish and buff dentures to ensure a comfortable and natural fit.
  • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts to aid in the creation of accurate dental models.
Requirements
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities is required for this role.
  • Technical expertise in packing and polishing is essential for this position.
  • Computer and technology knowledge is necessary for maintaining accurate records and communicating with patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail is crucial for this role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for effective patient communication and record-keeping.
