Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product inquiries, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations to meet their expectations.
  • Store Operations
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by zoning assigned areas, recovering merchandise, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
    • Assist with front-end coverage, including processing transactions and handling customer returns.
    • Communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Merchandise Management
    • Assist with stocking merchandise, including picking and downstocking products as needed.
    • Apply product protection when required and set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and shelf caps.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in retail sales or customer service is an asset. You will also need to be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
