Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Summit Trailer Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with commercial transport truck systems, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of parts and components.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to discuss work assignments and priorities.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units.
  • Review work orders and complete reports to document problems and work performed.
  • Provide coaching and instruction to apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transport vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of truck and trailer systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
