Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health, providing expert care to individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to promote physical function, independence, and safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Consult with colleagues and clients to develop individual treatment and discharge goals
- Provide education and training to clients and caregivers on occupational therapy interventions and resources
- Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy
- Two years recent related clinical experience working with clients with acute or serious and persistent mental illness
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC)
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license with access to personal vehicle for business purposes
- Demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in occupational therapy
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, medications, and side effects
- Working knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery principles
