About the Role

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, single-ply roofing, and metal roofing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and shakes, as well as masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on roofing techniques and best practices
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding job that requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. The work site environment can be at heights, noisy, and dusty.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in roofing
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding job
