About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team at Diesel Pro Tunes Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Management: Assist in the organization and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
  • Site Safety: Participate in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Support to Tradespersons: Provide assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and best practices.
  • Area of Work Experience: Assist in the repair and maintenance of diesel equipment, including motor vehicles.
  • Area of Specialization: Develop skills in the area of motor vehicles, with a focus on diesel equipment.
  • Security and Safety: Participate in security and safety protocols, including criminal record checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and handling heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move equipment and materials up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn, with a focus on developing skills in the area of diesel equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
