Job Overview

Jagir Contracting Inc is seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality in all aspects of concrete finishing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years in concrete finishing is essential.
  • Tasks Include:
    • Inspecting formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.
    • Overseeing the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces, ensuring adherence to grade specifications.
    • Addressing imperfections in freshly poured cement by filling hollows and removing spots.
    • Utilizing power vibrators to compact concrete effectively.
    • Leveling the top surface of concrete in accordance with grade and depth specifications.
    • Applying desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
    • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
    • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces appropriately.
    • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces to maintain integrity.
    • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
    • Estimating costs and materials necessary for projects.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically demanding tasks requiring handling of heavy loads.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
