Cedar Heights Residential Living is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with complex needs. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Direct Support Professional to join our team.

Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional will provide on-site, client-centered programming, assisting residents in participating in life skills training, personal and self-help training, arts and crafts, recreation and leisure, and educational programs. Community integration is also a focus of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents in participating in life skills training, personal and self-help training, arts and crafts, recreation and leisure, and educational programs
  • Provide hygiene support and daily living support for all residents
  • Clean and maintain the living environment
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Perform clerical duties, such as filing
  • Implement therapeutic programming with an emphasis on life skills and personal development
  • Advocate for residents within and outside the agency
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (completed or in progress)
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle
