Position Overview: The University of Toronto is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to serve as a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the MScSM program. This role is crucial in supporting the academic journey of students within the program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in grading quizzes, tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide support to students by addressing inquiries during designated office hours.
- Maintain and update course materials and grades on the designated course management system.
- Attend and engage in weekly lectures, ensuring familiarity with course content.
- Perform additional tasks as required to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have successfully completed the SSM1100Y Research Paper course with a minimum grade of 'A'. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching assistant experience in this course and those who are currently enrolled as PhD students at the University of Toronto.
Working Conditions: The position involves a minimum commitment based on the number of enrolled students, ensuring a supportive and engaging educational environment.
This position is governed by the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.
