Transdev is seeking a dedicated Operations Lead and Driver.
Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Transit Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead and Driver plays a crucial role in supporting daily transit activities, including vehicle management and driving responsibilities. This role requires versatility, as it encompasses both fieldwork and administrative tasks. Proficiency in office software, particularly Microsoft applications, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate maintenance of operational documents, including timesheets and vacation records.
- Conduct thorough inspections of spare vehicles and be ready to replace malfunctioning vehicles or fulfill driving assignments on short notice.
- Promptly report and document any incidents, including injuries, accidents, or property damage.
- Carry out safety evaluations and road assessments of drivers as directed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Act as the primary contact for resolving operational issues or escalate matters to the Supervisor when necessary.
- Assist with troubleshooting IT devices such as tablets and smart card readers.
- Support additional tasks as assigned by the Transit Supervisor.
Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Possession of a valid G class Licence, with a willingness to upgrade to a BZ licence preferred.
- Clean driving record and a clear vulnerable sector background check.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence.
- Highly organized with effective communication abilities.
- Availability to commit to approximately 10 hours per week, based on operational needs.
