Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support to Early Childhood Educators: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts that promote their development and well-being.
  • Health and Safety: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Licensing and Regulations: Have knowledge of licensing regulations and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
