Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Operations Specialist to enhance our logistics processes at Toronto Textile Recycling. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and information across various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Coordination: Facilitate activities with different work units or departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring: Oversee the movement of supplies and materials, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Clerical Duties: Execute routine clerical tasks, including report preparation and submission.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and machinery, arranging for necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Time Management: Verify the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive work records and logs, tracking personnel workloads and locations.
  • Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain warehouse and work areas for optimal efficiency.
  • Problem Resolution: Address work-related issues, providing technical advice and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new staff members.
  • Traffic Coordination: Manage the flow of supplies and coordinate activities with warehouse and production units.
  • Production Scheduling: Collaborate with production supervisors to efficiently schedule production runs.
  • Material Estimation: Assess the type and quantity of materials and labor needed for various projects.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track production progress and prepare relevant reports.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.
  • Training: Train new employees on their duties and company policies.
  • Work Assignment: Coordinate, assign, and review work tasks for team members.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate records.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the logistics operations of the organization.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
