POSITION SUMMARY

As a Culinary Specialist in a private educational institution's cafeteria, you will report directly to the Executive Chef and play a crucial role in the timely and proper preparation of meals, focusing on food service and safety standards.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Ensuring the kitchen and food storage areas are consistently clean and organized.
  • Preparing nutritious and high-quality meals (breakfast and lunch) in accordance with client schedules and within the established menu and budget parameters.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in addressing client preferences and dietary needs as required.
  • Complying with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as well as Safe Food Handling and Health Unit guidelines.
  • Following all relevant policies and procedures set forth by Dexterra Group and the educational institution.
  • Managing and monitoring inventory levels effectively.

Candidate Profile

WHO WE SEEK

  • A strong willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
  • Previous experience in catering or food service.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a cooking role.
  • Possession of Level 1 Food Safe Certification.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
