Position Overview
The Director of Scholarship and Innovation will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing scholarship, evidence-based practices, and transformative change throughout the UHN framework. This role is pivotal in fostering capacity building at various levels—individual, unit, and organizational. The Director will cultivate relevant clinical, policy, and health systems scholarship, along with evaluation, research, and innovation in collaboration with key change leaders and innovators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing best practices in knowledge translation, program evaluation, and improvement science with both internal and external collaborators.
- Developing a robust research program that focuses on the retention of health human resources.
- Elevating scholarship across nursing and health professions while providing evidence-based leadership to tackle complex challenges within the healthcare system.
- Advancing scholarship in the workforce, aligning with health system needs and Collaborative for Academic Practice (CAP) priorities.
- Building a network of scholars to enhance the contributions of health professions to knowledge generation and application, establishing UHN as a leading academic health sciences center.
Qualifications
- PhD completion with relevant research experience.
- Regulated Health Professional in good standing with their professional college.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical and related experience.
- Eligibility for appointment at UHN Research Institute.
