About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of diagnostic imaging principles and be able to apply the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure. They will also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiological equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Deliver patient-centered care while exercising independent judgment and initiative
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Apply the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
