Commercial Windows Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Windows Drafter to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our drafting team, you will be responsible for designing cladding solutions for mid to high-rise buildings involving stick and unitized curtain wall assemblies.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural technology or architecture, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the window wall or curtain wall industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with Revit experience being a plus. You will be working closely with our drafting manager and project managers to create clear design concepts and revise shop and fabrication drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Design cladding solutions for mid to high-rise buildings
- Manage up to 5 projects at a time
- Collaborate with drafting manager and project managers to create design concepts
- Revise shop and fabrication drawings
- Monitor due dates and red flag issues
- Coordinate with production and installation teams
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or University Degree in Architecture
- 3+ years of experience in window wall or curtain wall industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Revit experience a plus
- Solid OBC knowledge and building science and construction best practices
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
Our client is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Mississauga, Ontario. They service clients from all over North America, including major metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Toronto.
