Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at the Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant in Calgary. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for building forms for concrete, cutting, shaping, and joining materials, and performing various tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build forms for concrete and ensure accuracy
  • Cut, shape, and join materials to specifications
  • Look for and fix deficiencies in work
  • Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Act as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters
  • Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects
  • Perform general site upkeep and maintenance
Certification Requirements:
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications
  • ESC Fall Protection certification (considered an asset)
  • Journeyperson ticket or registered apprentice status
