About the Role

Associated Engineering is seeking an experienced Contaminated Sites Professional to join our team. As a key member of our environmental consulting group, you will be responsible for managing contaminated sites and leading project management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations, Site Profiles, and legal instruments methods according to BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV) protocols.
  • Develop and implement Phase I to III ESA (CSA Z768-01 and CSA Z769-00) assessment protocols.
  • Collaborate with Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals/ENV on reviews and applications for legal instruments.
  • Conduct contaminant hydrogeology and monitoring well design and sampling, and assess soil and groundwater contaminant interactions.
  • Prepare Conceptual Site Models and design remediation strategies for soil and groundwater.
  • Develop and implement site remediation plans, supervise remedial actions, and prepare confirmation remediation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Post-graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, geology, chemistry).
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically managing contaminated sites.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
